COD must GO ON!!!

Call of Duty(COD) is JUST a video game franchise that sould exist for us teens and adults to keep on buying them. I know that the game is not real and that its really sad when real soldiers go off to war but this is a game where is fake and was made for pure profit. We the consumer enjoy these types of games for entertainment because we love the fact that we can kill people yet your not really harming anyone which is why this is great. I myself own both games Modern Warfare 2(MW2)and Black Ops(BO) which actually makes me quite capable of supporting my satement.

To baned COD can be a mistake just because some people are against the fact that they are not realistic in the war and that they can kill people which you are not. In this game we realize that none of it is true but we enjoy the fact that you can kill a friends character in a fictional game and have fake ranks. This also gives knowledge to players such as a variety of different weapons for someone who might be interested in that sort. It also teaches you calls and different vehicles that can help someone know about it so when he likes to join the army he has some knowledge with him. Sometimes we use strategy to take out someone that can help some of us young minds who are interested in joining an army branch.

An example that I experienced myself was when I was in 10th grade our English teacher made us read a book called Fallen Angels which is about war. In that book they talked a lot of things that is war related cals such as calls that only a soldier or a ROTC student would know. For playing COD it helped me understand the bookn better than some others that have no idea how an army of soldiers work. In case of its violent graphics and the made up stories I think were old enough to know the truth that the game is not exactly waht occurs in a real war therefore COD should go on and never be banned because it aint hurting nobody just our wallets.

Casualties lost in WW1

In the Gallipoli it shows great clips of soldiers fighting in different territories during a war and how many were lost in battle. The video also tells you things you would need in order to become a soldier such as you need courage and rage in which will help you survive. These soldiers go and fight for their country and their people knowing they might not come back yet they still go all for a rerason. It also shows a scene were a large cemetary with full of casualties that lost their lives in battle for the sake of their country.

No Texting...This is Madness

Back in World War 1 there was no technology advance such as the ones we have now like cellphones and computers. Soldiers had to communicate with each other by sending letters that can take up weeks as for now we send texts and arrives in a sec. Sometimes it took so long that when the person gets the letter that soldier died in battle far long ago. This was an issue back than cause soldiers might ran out of supply and the only way was to write them a letter but by the time they get it theyll be long gone.

Strike on SOA

coup d'etat which means basically a sudden and decisive action in politics one resulting in a change of government illegally or by force. The United States are using this technique for the SOA(School of America) which is a combat training school. These schools are for Latin Americans to be trained to become soldiers once they graduate. When they are soldiers they become violent such as torture, assassinate, massacres, religious, and even rape. In my opinion I am definately against this as these people become an outrage to just killing who ever they feel like even if the persons innocent. For example, The Commission on the Truth was so named because its very purpose and function have been to seek, find and make public the truth about the acts of violence committed by both sides in El Salvador during a civil war in which more than 75,000 Salvadorans were killed. This report attempts to set out, with detailed examples based on extensive testimony and investigation, responsibility for some of the worst and most widespread violations of human rights in El Salvador between 1980 and July 1991 because of citings of SOA. This needs to stop as more people would die if the SOA are not put into an end.

Poor West Indian Worker :(

Well Im just another West Indian Worker who has to do whatever the Americans tell me to do for them. Today is May 24, 1906 and My companions and I been working hard building under a hot weather. Sometimes we think were better off dead than working and suffering till we reach the end. Although some of us can barely survive these conditions such as being crushed under land and mud slides, and suffocation from noxious gases from places underground. Us who are lucky to survive will tell forward all of our terrible memories that we going through. Its getting dark now better get some sleep and add another tally to the times I have been working cause tomorrow is just another ordinary day to the countdowm of my life.

Movies based on Imperialism

Imperialism is a stronger nation opressing a weaker one. A movie that I chose to be a good example of is Braveheart by Mel Gibson. This movie tells about a man named William Wallace who leads his army through a series of successful battles against the English. This shows a strong nation like England destroying other small farms for the king to own although in this movie Mel Gibson puts up a fight. However at the end the bigger nation still wins over the weaker countries as it gets more powerful each time it does. It also can show imperalism as a man as one is stronger than another man like Wallace who beats about anyone he wants.

In 1280 A.D., King Edward "Longshanks" of England, has occupied much of southern Scotland, declared himself King of Scotland, and his oppressive rule there leads to the deaths of William Wallace's father and brother. Years later, the Scots continue to live under the iron fist of Longshanks' cruel rule. Wallace returns, intent on living as a farmer and avoiding involvement in the ongoing "troubles". Wallace seeks out and courts Murron, whom he knew as a child in the village, and the two marry in secret to avoid any disturbance. When an English soldier tries to rape Murron, Wallace fights off several soldiers and the two attempt to flee, but the village magistrate captures Murron. Declaring Murron's assault to be the same as if she had assaulted the King, the magistrate ties Murron to a pole and, in an attempt to draw Wallace out, executes her by slitting her throat. When Wallace rides back into the village moments later to find what has happened, he and the men in the village rise up against the magistrate and the English soldiers. Wallace gets his retribution on the magistrate by assassinating him in the same manner that the magistrate had executed Murron.

Ever since Wallace got angry and decides to lead an army against England to have his revenge on the king. They went in many battles and won most of them yet they were still outmatched. For the next seven years, Wallace goes into hiding, fighting a guerrilla war against English forces with his remaining band of Scotsmen. Wallace is caught in a trap set by the elder Bruce and the other nobles, beaten unconscious, and handed over to the English. At the end, The English won and executed Wallace making them the most superior nation to all others.

Yellow journalism now...

Yellow Journalism is a type of journalism that presents little or no legitimate researched news and instead uses amusing headlines to sell more newspapers. Today we still use it but we call it Checkbook Journalism which is the practice of paying someone for a news story. Its kind of the same thing cause that person could have bought it and make little research for that headline. An example of someone using such device is John Reimer who wrote "...marijuana is still the gateway to other drugs." which basically is not enough information to state this without further research.
