COD must GO ON!!!
Call of Duty(COD) is JUST a video game franchise that sould exist for us teens and adults to keep on buying them. I know that the game is not real and that its really sad when real soldiers go off to war but this is a game where is fake and was made for pure profit. We the consumer enjoy these types of games for entertainment because we love the fact that we can kill people yet your not really harming anyone which is why this is great. I myself own both games Modern Warfare 2(MW2)and Black Ops(BO) which actually makes me quite capable of supporting my satement.
To baned COD can be a mistake just because some people are against the fact that they are not realistic in the war and that they can kill people which you are not. In this game we realize that none of it is true but we enjoy the fact that you can kill a friends character in a fictional game and have fake ranks. This also gives knowledge to players such as a variety of different weapons for someone who might be interested in that sort. It also teaches you calls and different vehicles that can help someone know about it so when he likes to join the army he has some knowledge with him. Sometimes we use strategy to take out someone that can help some of us young minds who are interested in joining an army branch.
An example that I experienced myself was when I was in 10th grade our English teacher made us read a book called Fallen Angels which is about war. In that book they talked a lot of things that is war related cals such as calls that only a soldier or a ROTC student would know. For playing COD it helped me understand the bookn better than some others that have no idea how an army of soldiers work. In case of its violent graphics and the made up stories I think were old enough to know the truth that the game is not exactly waht occurs in a real war therefore COD should go on and never be banned because it aint hurting nobody just our wallets.

Casualties lost in WW1
In the Gallipoli it shows great clips of soldiers fighting in different territories during a war and how many were lost in battle. The video also tells you things you would need in order to become a soldier such as you need courage and rage in which will help you survive. These soldiers go and fight for their country and their people knowing they might not come back yet they still go all for a rerason. It also shows a scene were a large cemetary with full of casualties that lost their lives in battle for the sake of their country.
No Texting...This is Madness
Back in World War 1 there was no technology advance such as the ones we have now like cellphones and computers. Soldiers had to communicate with each other by sending letters that can take up weeks as for now we send texts and arrives in a sec. Sometimes it took so long that when the person gets the letter that soldier died in battle far long ago. This was an issue back than cause soldiers might ran out of supply and the only way was to write them a letter but by the time they get it theyll be long gone.

Strike on SOA
coup d'etat which means basically a sudden and decisive action in politics one resulting in a change of government illegally or by force. The United States are using this technique for the SOA(School of America) which is a combat training school. These schools are for Latin Americans to be trained to become soldiers once they graduate. When they are soldiers they become violent such as torture, assassinate, massacres, religious, and even rape. In my opinion I am definately against this as these people become an outrage to just killing who ever they feel like even if the persons innocent. For example, The Commission on the Truth was so named because its very purpose and function have been to seek, find and make public the truth about the acts of violence committed by both sides in El Salvador during a civil war in which more than 75,000 Salvadorans were killed. This report attempts to set out, with detailed examples based on extensive testimony and investigation, responsibility for some of the worst and most widespread violations of human rights in El Salvador between 1980 and July 1991 because of citings of SOA. This needs to stop as more people would die if the SOA are not put into an end.
Poor West Indian Worker :(
Well Im just another West Indian Worker who has to do whatever the Americans tell me to do for them. Today is May 24, 1906 and My companions and I been working hard building under a hot weather. Sometimes we think were better off dead than working and suffering till we reach the end. Although some of us can barely survive these conditions such as being crushed under land and mud slides, and suffocation from noxious gases from places underground. Us who are lucky to survive will tell forward all of our terrible memories that we going through. Its getting dark now better get some sleep and add another tally to the times I have been working cause tomorrow is just another ordinary day to the countdowm of my life.
Movies based on Imperialism
Imperialism is a stronger nation opressing a weaker one. A movie that I chose to be a good example of is Braveheart by Mel Gibson. This movie tells about a man named William Wallace who leads his army through a series of successful battles against the English. This shows a strong nation like England destroying other small farms for the king to own although in this movie Mel Gibson puts up a fight. However at the end the bigger nation still wins over the weaker countries as it gets more powerful each time it does. It also can show imperalism as a man as one is stronger than another man like Wallace who beats about anyone he wants.
In 1280 A.D., King Edward "Longshanks" of England, has occupied much of southern Scotland, declared himself King of Scotland, and his oppressive rule there leads to the deaths of William Wallace's father and brother. Years later, the Scots continue to live under the iron fist of Longshanks' cruel rule. Wallace returns, intent on living as a farmer and avoiding involvement in the ongoing "troubles". Wallace seeks out and courts Murron, whom he knew as a child in the village, and the two marry in secret to avoid any disturbance. When an English soldier tries to rape Murron, Wallace fights off several soldiers and the two attempt to flee, but the village magistrate captures Murron. Declaring Murron's assault to be the same as if she had assaulted the King, the magistrate ties Murron to a pole and, in an attempt to draw Wallace out, executes her by slitting her throat. When Wallace rides back into the village moments later to find what has happened, he and the men in the village rise up against the magistrate and the English soldiers. Wallace gets his retribution on the magistrate by assassinating him in the same manner that the magistrate had executed Murron.
Ever since Wallace got angry and decides to lead an army against England to have his revenge on the king. They went in many battles and won most of them yet they were still outmatched. For the next seven years, Wallace goes into hiding, fighting a guerrilla war against English forces with his remaining band of Scotsmen. Wallace is caught in a trap set by the elder Bruce and the other nobles, beaten unconscious, and handed over to the English. At the end, The English won and executed Wallace making them the most superior nation to all others.

Yellow journalism now...
Yellow Journalism is a type of journalism that presents little or no legitimate researched news and instead uses amusing headlines to sell more newspapers. Today we still use it but we call it Checkbook Journalism which is the practice of paying someone for a news story. Its kind of the same thing cause that person could have bought it and make little research for that headline. An example of someone using such device is John Reimer who wrote "...marijuana is still the gateway to other drugs." which basically is not enough information to state this without further research.

"Rocky Racoon"
This song that The Beatles made was basically to describe how the Wil West was when someone messes with their girl. Its basically saying that a guy who dated a girl was taken away by another guy and he gets angry. So he goes finding this guy to take revenge by a shooting him in a draw but the other guy beat him to it and shut him first. Men in the Wild West were not as friendly and were always up to the challenge. Now and days we think of it as simply cowboys who goes shooting random people in a small town. In the real Wild West it was kind of like the song goes because back than when they called it "Wild", which meant wild literally. The other half was that in the west mining was another thing that occured during the Wild West.

I Agree to Blogging!!!
I think blogging has helped me a lot because sometimes I like to do a little more than just writting it down and not really think about it and blogging actually keeps me thinking of the subject. Blogs can actually teach you how to type faster so when you go to college you are ready to type abd take notes on laptops instead of writting in paper. Blogging also helps students take notes in ways that makes it more fun such as to play games like the Oregon Trail and watch episodes such as "Gunsmoke". They sound like things that wouldnt teach you but it actually teached me ways of viewing learning in a whole different perspective.
When you get to college many students are used to using laptops and blogging is an excellent start for when the time comes. Blogs can also help students speak what they have in mind in a creative way such as simply by doing some research for facts and pictures that makes it seem interesting. Sometimes you might not like how the teacher might be teaching a subject but you go to the blogs with questions and you might find it more amusing and maybe look up different perspective of that topic. Blogging can also help you in grammar as to when you need to write an essay or maybe you want to expand your knowledge by typing in the correct way of the english format.
I think that we are all a requirement to doing blogs just for the fact that its easy, educational, and simply better than writing on paper. Some students would also agree that when you blog you get things much faster because some students actually type faster than to write on a piece of paper. Blogs can also be fun such as the fact that it can be used to describe something that you would like to share from a topic that you have in mind. Sometimes blogging can be a time to relax and maybe just to practice your writing by just talking about your life like a diary. Even famous people use blogging to let their fans know about a concert or a movie that they will appear in.

African-Americans during Reconstruction
When Reconstruction started many African-Americans were fooled with unfair treatment and not as much right as a white man gets. Reconstruction occured 1865–1877, at the time in the South. They created the ammendments such as the 13th which allowed to abolish slavery. Although this was a good sign for African-Americans the Black Codes intended to secure a steady supply of cheap labor to continue to assume the inferiority of the freed slaves. This still did not help as they were still black people who worked in plantation for their masters.
Black people thought that they were finally free thanks to the law but white people did not think of it that way more as an opportunity to bring the invention of sharecropping. Sharecropping is basically no difference to slavery but they just get back a small portion of food and profit. With lots of work they must do what the landowner tells them to do such as to plant, harvest, repair, etc.. The farmers went down and easy into paying debts from the little pay that they win from all the hard working they put in. They actually tried to keep working more and maybe things will get better once their pay their debts but it just cause them even more problems such as health.
The US Civil Rights Movement began from 1955–1968. Its purpose is to basically is to outlaw racial discrimination against African-Americans and to restore suffrage in the southern states. After the Reconstruction ended things became still the same such as to vote were the 15th ammendment grants every man to vote yet the society denies it because of racism which is still occuring even after the Civil Rights Movement. This were just making black people more frustrated towards white men as they are still not treated equal to one another. During this time heroes such as Martin Luther King Jr. stepped up and spoke out the insanity of how black men are not treated equally. He worked to end racial segregation and racial discrimination through civil disobedience by just simply speaking about it.

Immigrants welcome to USA!!!
I think that they must have felt terrible that they had to leave their old lifes and start living a new one in a whole different environment they are not familiar with. When they got there they must have felt they were barely any air because it looks really over crowded with people. They also look like they did not have many clothing and look dirty as if they were homeless. I think the US were taking advantages towards the immagrants as to not grant them probably not much to what they could have afford them.
Pen & Paper vs. Blogs!!!
I think they both have their advantages because when you blog you actually think about the subject more than just simply writting it down on paper. If its in paper it could help when ever you need to study without needing a computer. They both help me a lot espeacially in test like the one of the Ammendments which I made a blog about one of them and took notes of the Ammendments. If I have to pick one is blogging because i think its a lot more fun and theres always a way to like print it out if need for studying.
My Favorite Topic!!!
The one were you create a six word story was the best for me. It was kind of challenging but I like things that makes me think a little. Once you made one you feel so proud of yourself for doing a job well done that many people might have not even bother in attempting it. Mine was "Chat with me, End of You" which is awesome because I got it from this episode of George Lopez how theres perverts out their that chats with kids than wants to meet them so they can rape them and kill them at the end.

Change the way of Teaching
We should teach students the truth about the history of the United States. It shows that not everybody is perfect yet USA is still big and powerful even though they failed sometimes. This should be included around the world for all to know the good and the bad of their country but still proud to get over it and still come out strong. It is also important to know the whole truth of history so it can go on and on that even strong countries can fall sometimes and recover from it.
"The Song of the Shirt"
These workers used to sing this song for some entertainment although the song is very sad. They sing about how they are put to work and wok the whole day and not getting enough money. They dont get much sleep from all the stitching that even when they sleep they dream of working. They were treated as slaves basically because they still lived in poverty. Even though they had it bad they sang this song with all their might.

My Awesome 6 Word Story!!!
"Chat with me, End of you" by Jeremy Salinas, basically my story says it all that when these families where moving to the West they used to talk to random strangers to trade with. Some of these strangers kill them and just took their supplies so they end up winning. It also shows that even though they might have needed something real bad its worth to wait and get it from someone you can trust before something really bad happens. This can also be used today with kids who chat online with random stranger thinking they might be there friend. They meet them in person and the stranger could be a pedophile and rape you than kill you. This is why we must be aware of people we talk to online and in person because these strangers could be dangerous.
Games/Learning as One
Games can actually teach you in many ways such as the Oregon Trail which actually shows you what a family went threw from this journey and how harsh they had it with barely money to survive. Other games can describe you stories from greek mythology of gods like in God of War which I knew who Poseidon was cause of that game which is the God of Sea. Call of Duty gives you a look of how life would be like in the army and shows different types of guns and calls in a team good for ROTC. They also give little computer games that helps you learn to spell words or teach you how to type faster on the computer.

The way of the Reconstruction
Reconstruction is basically an idea of bringing the North and the South together for which we can agree to after the Civil War. With this came Ammendments that gave more rights to black people such as the 15th ammendment which guarantees them the rights to vote. However in the South they still followed the Black Codes which restricted them for doing such things like voting. Black people were better of now than before the Civil War because now at least the Ammendments are giving them rights although the the South our oppose to the idea. It also affected black people because it shows them that their is compassion towards them and their trying to treat every man equal.
All for Amnesty!!!
Amnesty is basically forgiveness which I do personally think the South should get. The South needs forgiveness because people sometimes gets cheated and acuse of something they did not do such as a crime involving the race color of a man. Some black people get acuse of things they cant even belive such as if they hust a white guy for taking his property away for no reason. There is sometimes when people deserve a punishment for wrong doing but back in those days they went with what the white man says in court.

A Speech inspired by Col. Chamberlain
I think he was right and confident about his speech because he was telling reasons to the soldiers that you joined for a reason and thats for protecting each other and their country. Even if they were outmatched they still had a moral idea of not giving up and going after in what they each believe in such as to kill for fun to killing for respect. Col. Chamberlain is an honorable soldier therefore giving faith to the soldiers into believing that they might win a war with just a moral idea.
Thoreau's short and blunt "quote"
"that government is best which governs least" is basically telling you that when the government is not involve with economics or other benefits for our needs as much, they are a good government. In my case I disagree with him because I think the more they get involve the more chances of us getting a better choice like raising taxes or raising medical care. We need to have these people as involve as possible so they could all give their opinions and come to a conclusion for our own benefit because they know what their doing better than any of us could try.
Revealing Secrets!!!
Countries should leave out pieces of history if they want to look like the tough guy. They sometimes dont like to tell parts of the stories that makes them look bad so they leave that out and tells us all the great things they do did for us. If they decide to be honest with us than they should teach us all of that dark secrets they keep leaving out from us. These stories that they tell us might not be as true as they say but I do strongly believe that they should continue as such just so that we look big otherwise people would not quite like the losing side.
Does History Matter???
History is a need for all to learn from even though there events that occured from the past. It matters to us yet in ways hard to describe for example, Some of us wonder how did America came to be, where thier other kinds of people who lived here before us. These are question that we could never be answer if history did not matter. Also history gives you knowledge from mistake from the past that can benefit in the future such as slavery, and womens right which were a huge mistake that we corrected. It matters so much that with out history people would have never known how they were to come.
